Bread Badhusha / Bread Balushahi /Badhusha sweet with a detailed photos and video recipe. Its very simple & easy recipe  and can be done within 15 min. It has a resembles of donut but varies in taste and texture. 



Bread Badhusha/Bread Balushahi

Ingredients: - 

  • Bread           - 4 slices 
  • Milk             - 5 Tsp 
  • Ghee            - 1 Tsp 
  • Sugar           - ½ cup 
  • Water           - ¼ cup  
  • Cardamom   - 1 
  • Oil                - As Required 
  • Cashews for Toppings 

Instruction:- 
  • Take 4 bread slices and remove the sides of the bread. 
  • In a mixing bowl, make the bread into smaller pieces. 
  • Add 2 tsp of milk to the bread and mix well 
  • Gradually add 3 more tsp of milk and mix well 
  • Transfer the mixture to the mixer and grind it. 
  • The grinded dough should be very soft  
  • Add 1 tsp of ghee and knead well and make it in to a soft dough. 
  • Make it into a small ball and flatten the center part. 
  • Make a hole at the center using a straw. 
  • In a pan ,heat oil and fry the badhusha. 
  • For sugar syrup:- Add ½ cup of sugar with ¼ cup of water and 1 cardamom . 
  • Let it boil  until sugar dissolves .No need for 1 string consisitency 
  • Soak the fried badhusha in the sugar syrup for minimum of 20 –2 5 min 
  • Finally , enjoy your tasty and yummy bread badhusha with some cashew  or badam toppings. 

Note:- 
  • Always fry the badhusha in low flame else it will be uncooked inside and will too hard. 
  • Do not soak the fried Badhusha in sugar syrup for more than 30 min.
  • If the dough is cracked then while fryimg it will be separated and crumbled. 
  • You can store this at room temperature in a air tight container for about 4 – 5 days.

  • First take 4 pieces of bread 


  • Make into smaller pieces


  • Add 2 tsp of milk and mix well


  • Gradually add 3 more tsp of milk and mix well


  • Grind it well


  • The grinded dough should be very soft as shown in the pic


  • Add 1 tsp of ghee and knead well and make it in to a soft dough


  • Make into ball shape and flatten the center part


  • Make a hole at the center using a straw


  • In a pan add oil and heat it


  • Fry the badhushas at a low flame


  • Fry it until it turns golden brown


  • For Sugar syrup:- Add ½ cup of sugar


  • Along with that add cardamom


  • Now add ¼ cup of water


  • Boil until sugar dissolves in water . No need for 1 string consisitency


  • Soak the Fried badhusha in sugar syrup


  • Let it rest for 20 – 25 min


  • Finally decorate the bread badhusha with some cashew toppings
